This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) governs the manner in which Deschool Online Platform collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (the definition of “user” is well mentioned in the T&C document and it must be read and interpreted concurrently in this document) of its website and any derivative or affiliated websites on which this Privacy Policy is or may be posted. This Privacy Policy must be read by the users together with the Terms and Conditions of the Deschool Online Platform as both will be enforceable collectively. The Deschool Online Platform is owned and operated through an E-Trader license issued by the Government of Dubai in the name of Ritu Jhaveri Portal, possessing a website domain at Deschool Online Platform.
Users must note that this Privacy Policy covers the platform’s practices regarding information collected from its website and principles on which the platform will function.


Deschool Online Platform aspires to make skill-based learning accessible globally. It is a single platform offering different categories of skill-based lessons through its website. The broad categories in which the lessons will be offered are - languages, technology, arts and health & lifestyle.
Deschool Online Platform (hereinafter “The Platform”) is established with a purpose of building an online learning community that provides skill-based lessons to the students across the globe. The platform will host teachers /teaching companies from across the world and will feature their lessons and workshops. The Platform will help them market the lessons and get them students through digital marketing.
The platform will be a common global platform to connect the teachers and the students. The platform will be hosted through a website at the outset and the services concerned may be provided through a Mobile Application in future.
Deschool is a platform where teachers or teaching companies from across the globe will offer their lessons suiting their own skills and experiences and the users may subscribe to them if they seem favourable and beneficial to their needs. Deschool will not interfere in the conduct of the lessons as they will be regulated by the teachers or teaching companies while being live in the session and hence, the platform will just act as a seamless medium for the teachers or teaching companies and the students to connect to each other and make the objective of ‘skill-based learning accessible globally’ realised.


The platform, as a common practice followed by a variety of other websites, collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available. The platform’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to understand the usage pattern of the Platform’s website.
The users who engage in transactions with the platform online, for example by creating an account with the platform or by purchasing lessons on the platform’s website, are asked to provide additional information, such as the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. Similarly, teachers or teaching companies who seek to enter into independent collaboration agreements with the platform are asked to provide additional information, such as personal information in support of the teachers’ or teaching companies’ respective skills, experiences, etc. Teachers or teaching companies have complete freedom about the information they wish to include on their website profile, such as work experience, designation, skills, city or area, country, photograph.
The Platform may collect personally identifiable information from users in a variety of ways. Personally identifiable information may include (i) contact data (such as name, phone number, gender, residential address, mailing and e-mail addresses); (ii) financial data (such as a user’s credit card number or a teacher’s bank account information); and (iii) demographic data (such as a user’s nationality, place of current residence and the similar details from the teachers / teaching companies). Any sort of communication with Deschool by e-mail or through phone calls or through any other electronic device by any means, any information provided in such communication may be collected by the platform.


The platform may use your personal information to:

  • administer and functionalise the website;
  • improve user’s browsing experience by personalising the website;
  • enable user’s usage of the services available on the website;
  • supply the purchased services to the users via the website;
  • send statements and invoices to the users, and collect payments from the users;
  • send general (non-marketing) commercial communications to the users;
  • send email notifications to the users which the users have specifically requested;
  • send users newsletter of the platform and other marketing communications relating to platform’s business which the platform think may be of interest to the users, by email or similar technology

The platform will not, without express consent of the user, provide user’s personal information to any third parties for the purpose of direct marketing. All the credit card financial transactions on the platform’s website are handled through payment services provider, Stripe. The users can review their policies at stripe-privacy. The platform will share information with Stripe only to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing payments the users make through the platform’s website, refunding such payments and dealing with complaints and queries relating to such payments and refunds. The platform will neither store any debit/credit card details of users nor pass any debit/credit card details to third parties.


The platform possesses a policy of respecting the privacy of the users regarding any information the platform may collect through the website, e-mail, phone, or any other communications the platform has with the users. The platform treats the confidential information users share with the platform with utmost respect. The platform will not disclose user records with third parties under any circumstances, except as specifically set forth in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law. The platform may also share information with third party businesses who process payments on behalf of the platform, who help the platform develop its business, who inform the platform's marketing strategy, who provide cloud storage services, who provide professional services, who provide teachers or teaching companies background checks, and who provide communication softwares.
The platform may, however, share a student’s information with the teachers or teaching companies(s) to an extent required, who may provide or will be providing teaching services to the student in the most relevant manner. In each case, the platform collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the user’s interaction with the platform. The platform does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described herein and above in the section “How Deschool Online Platform Uses Information.” It is important to note that if the users voluntarily retract from sharing their information with the platform then it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
Security of the users is a priority and the platform strives to provide a safe and secure environment for the users; however, the platform cannot guarantee that the information submitted to, maintained on, or transmitted from its systems will be completely secure. The platform is not responsible for the circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures relating to the website by any users or third parties.

The platform website contains tabs of its Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Twitter pages which will allow the users to visit concerned pages of the platform for any other relevant information the users may have to seek regarding the platform. At the outset, it is prudent to understand that after the users click on the concerned tabs as described above, the activities of the users on the concerned websites will be regulated and will owe to the privacy policies of those websites.


The platform’s website doesn’t possess links to the third-party websites apart from Typeform, Google Forms and Social Media links of the Platform. The Platform owns the rights to this website and the website is operated in its entirety by the Deschool Online Platform.


The platform posts testimonials/comments/reviews of the users on the platform’s website which may contain personally identifiable information like name and photographs. The Platform may obtain a written consent from the teachers or the teaching companies or from the students to publish their testimonials on the website of the platform. To request the removal of the personal information of the users from testimonials/comments/reviews the users may refer to the details mentioned under the section “Contact Us” below.


The platform will be utilised by the teachers or teaching companies to offer various lessons out of which the majority of the lessons will be beneficial to children (under the age of 18 years) for their growth and development. If the user is a child, then his/ her registration to our website and subscription to any of the lessons offered through the website of our platform will automatically be considered to have an implicit permission of his/her parent/guardian to their child’s registration or subscription with the Platform. Further, the payment mode and Credit Card / Debit Card used for payment for the lessons or the subscription fees through the website of the platform will also be considered as utilised with his/her parent/guardian’s consent. No separate consent of the parents/guardians of the users will be demanded by the platform for their child’s registration or subscription to the platform and neither for the use of their credit/debit cards for payment of the subscription fees for the lessons offered through the platform.


The platform may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to the information practices of the platform. It is advised to the users to read the Privacy Policy along-with the Terms and Conditions everytime they access the website of the platform. Deschool Online Platform encourages the users to periodically review this page for the latest information on the privacy practices of the platform. It is presumed that, each time the users visit/access/register/subscribe to the platform’s website, the users have consented to the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions of our website in force at the time of users visiting/accessing/registering/subscribing to the platform’s website.
